The NIASHF was founded in 1977 by George Randazzo as a way to raise money for a struggling Catholic youth program. In the decades that followed, the NIASHF has grown to be the home for 270+ inductees enshrined in the Hall of Fame.

In 1977, George Randazzo founded the Italian American Boxing Hall of Fame as a way to raise money for a struggling local Catholic youth program. Randazzo collected boxing photos and memorabilia, a hobby that inspired him to organize a fundraising dinner that brought together a list of boxing greats and celebrities…

Inductees & Memorabilia
The NIASHF is currently working hard to bring the community an amazing new website in 2025. The new website will feature a directory of Italian American athletes who have been inducted into the National American Sports Hall of Fame as well as a gallery of fascinating and rare memorabilia.
